Heather & Honey Soap
This blend uses Welsh heather and wildflower honey, along with essential oils of patchouli, geranium and ylang-ylang, to create a gorgeously balancing, slightly earthy-scented soap useful for dry and chapped skin.
Honey's antibacterial and antimicrobial properties give it its healing power. Honey also has humectant qualities; meaning it actually attracts moisture to it, and then retains it in the skin, so the skin remains supple and elastic. It also protects against wrinkles and dryness.
Shea butter has wonderful healing qualities due to the presence of several fatty acids and plant sterols, namely oleic, stearic, palmitic and linolenic acids which lend their anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant qualities to the butter. The addition of shea butter means our soaps aren’t as drying as some commercial soaps can be.
Coconut oil is amazingly moisturising to the skin. It also helps to create a soap which keeps its firmness whilst also producing a rich and fluffy lather.
Rinse the soap bar under warm water and massage between your hands to form a soft lather. Massage the lather over your hands or any part of your skin you wish to clean, then rinse your skin with warm water. Avoid getting any soap into your eyes. Rinse immediately with cool water if this happens. Keep your soaps firmer for longer by storing on a soap dish between uses.
